Rumänische Komponisten zwischen den 'gemäßigten', den 'radikalen' Moderne und der Postmoderne

Debatten um die Begriffe Tradition, Moderne, Avantgarde und Postmoderne, wie sie in der europäischen Exegese erscheinen, sind im rumänischen Raum nicht minder gegenwärtig. Die gemäßigte und die radikale Moderne sowie die Postmoderne werden in diesem Aufsatz auf ihre Verbindung zur Ideologie der rumänischen Musik untersucht. Zum einen werden zwei Richtungen derselben Generation beleuchtet: die "Moderierten" (P. Bentoiu W.G. Berger) und die "Radikalen" (Şt. Niculescu, A. Stroe, A. Vieru, T. Olah M. Marbe, D. Constantinescu). Zum anderen wird nachvollzogen, wie sich einige "Radikale" auf den "postmodernen" Weg begeben. Diese Kategorien sind selbstverständlich vom ideologischen Kontext des kommunistischen Rumänien geprägt.
